Melchiades "Mel" F?bregas, hailing from a Spanish heritage, traces his family's roots from Spain to Cuba before growing up in Puerto Rico. Mel's early years were marked by an insatiable curiosity for knowledge and an innate sense of wonder. However, in 1992, he faced a pivotal moment when he realized he had fallen victim to what could be described as an excitotoxin overload. This revelation led Mel to uncover the harmful effects of substances like aspartame, monosodium glutamate (MSG), and various other chemicals commonly found in our food supply. Driven by a deep sense of purpose, he embarked on a mission to enlighten others about these hidden dangers, ultimately giving birth to Sanitas in October 2003.

Mel's primary mission with Sanitas is to unveil the secrets to achieving optimal health and longevity. He places a strong emphasis on personal development, spiritual growth, wealth creation, mental enrichment, and overall wellness.

Mel holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance (BBA) and a Master's degree in International Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas. Remarkably, at the young age of 19, while employed at a Fortune 500 company, specifically Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), a global leader in information and market research, Mel earned the distinction of becoming the organization's youngest financial analyst. His tenure at D&B spanned from 1987 to 1999. Before his extensive corporate career, Mel explored diverse roles, including child actor in television, positions in retail and banking, and work with McDonnell Douglas. Throughout his professional journey, he resided in various locations across the United States, Latin America, and Asia. One noteworthy assignment saw him living in Mexico City from 1992 to 1993, precisely during the implementation of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement).

In 1999, Mel decided to exit the corporate world and transitioned into entrepreneurship, venturing into the realms of hospitality, wholesale trade, and real estate. More recently, and somewhat serendipitously, he has found himself immersed in the world of media broadcasting.

Mel has made notable appearances on the History Channel's "Brad Meltzer's Decoded" and has been featured on numerous domestic and international radio shows. Additionally, he has served as a master of ceremonies and moderator at various conferences. At its core, SANITAS strives to divulge the mysteries surrounding health and longevity while engaging in discussions that encompass the realms of the mind, body, and spirit.
